After the completion of the fourth round of negotiations between the ruling and left-wing parties, leader of the European Georgia part Davit Bakradze said that fundamental differences between the government's and the opposition's positions do not leave the chance of reaching an agreement.
In Bakradze's words, the opposition seeks the resolution of four key issues, which are as follows: 1. snap elections; 2. the issue of political prisoners; 3. possible changes to the election system; 4. amendments to the election code. "Reaching an agreement on the first two issues is impossible due to political polarization. Against this backdrop, the European Georgia party does not plan to enter the parliament," Bakradze said.
Today, the fourth round of negotiations was held between the ruling and left-wing parties.
