The Georgian Dream and the opposition leaders are to resume the talks today. The representatives of the diplomatic corps will attend the meeting. The second round dialogue will start at 18:00.
The agenda of the meeting is the elections system review. The opposition demands the implementation of the German system of elections. The state representatives object by referring to incompliance of the German system with the Constitution of Georgia.
The EU Ambassador in Georgia, Carl Hartzell, said that he had shared the information on current developments and the dialogue with the EU MP. He expressed the hope that the meeting will be “of constructive quality” today.
After the unsuccessful voting for the proportional system elections, the first meeting of the ruling and opposition parties was organized on November 30. The meeting was not efficient.
