“As you see, our side, as well as a part of the opposition side, take steps to achieve agreement,” – Talakvadze shared with journalists after the ruling party meeting attended by Bidzina Ivanishvili.
Archil Talakvadze said that it was a working meeting with the majority party.
“We reviewed all the main issues of current negotiations. All our team members are informed about the developments in the negotiations. I want to thank the Ambassadors of our partner countries for their support in sustaining the dialogue and rapprochement. At present, I can say that from our side, the maximum of the just, pragmatic, and optimal conditions covering all aspects of elections, including proportion, 40%-barrier principle, election barrier, and elections 2020, in general, are offered to the opposition. A part of the opposition made attempts to mislead society by showing the developments in the wrong way. I repeat once more that it is very often that their vision is quite far from reality.” – said the Parliament Chairman.
