UNM member defines president Zurabishvili's planned event as 'disco party'

UNM member Roman Gotsiridze has responded to the pre-New Year's reception event planned by Georgian president Salome Zurabishvili. Gotsiridze stressed that the event does not aim to discuss the issue of polarization and come up with methods to end it.''This is more a disco party than an official, business event,'' he said, adding that they cannot talk about reconciliation before ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili is released.

The Georgian president has invited opposition members to the pre-New Year's reception event at Orbeliani palace.

Zurabishvili said in her speech at Joe Biden's democratic summit earlier that she plans to launch an inclusive dialogue to end polarization and segregation in the country.
