After a 5-day hunger strike, UNM's Rustavi City Assembly members have ended a hunger strike. They made the decision after Justice Minister Rati Bregadze showed readiness to move ex-president Saakashvili to Gori Military Hospital.
''We are aware of Mikheil Saakashvili's position on the subject. Some technical issues are to be resolved, and he will be taken there,'' City Assemblymember Vazha Morgoshia said.
Rustavi City Assembly members announced a hunger strike five days ago, requiring Saakashvili's transfer to a civilian clinic.
