''A person elected as minister must stand ready for serious challenges,'' ruling party member Archil Talakvadze said while expanding on the issue of the new health minister's appointment.
Talakvadze responded to reports on his possible appointment by saying that the position has never been the object of his interest.
According to the ruling party member, the issue is still under discussion, with the final decision to be made by the prime minister.
Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze stepped down on 9 December.
