Iran deplores the attack
The 7th president of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, writes on his Twitter, where the Islamic Republic of Iran deplores the mistake that caused the catastrophe. Hassan Rouhani expresses his sincere condolence to the families of the victims.
As a reminder: Iran admitted that the Ukrainian jetliner Boeing 737 was mistakenly shot down by the Iranian missile causing the death of 176 people. The jet crash of January 8 in Teheran sacrificed 167 passengers and nine crew members. Eighty-two of the passengers were the citizens of Iran, 63 – the citizens of Canada, and 11 – the citizens of Ukraine. There were also the citizens of Germany and Great Britain among the passengers.
The Islamic Republic of Iran deeply regrets this disastrous mistake.
