Prosecutor on Bachaliashvili's case: This made us conclude investigation of this case has ended

Davit Gumberidze, the prosecutor involved in Bachaliashvili's case, says that it cannot be determined that any specific person has committed the crime after repeated investigations and forensic opinions, with this pushing them to close the case. "We have carried out repeated investigative activities and were provided with forensic experts' opinions. This made us conclude investigation of this case has ended," he said.

Programmer Tamar Bachaliashvili, 23, who disappeared from Ponichala, was found dead on 22 July, four days from after her disappearance in the Tetritskaro municipality.

The investigation of the case has been in progress under the article envisaging the crime of driving to suicide.

On 18 September, at the briefing of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Georgia, drug intoxication was defined as the cause of the victim's death.

The family refuses to believe investigators and claims that the young woman was murdered.
