Bidzina Ivanishvili defined his decision to appear on the political scene as 'the most invaluable role he has played in aiding charitable work' considering the threats posed to his family.
In his interview with Entrepreneur magazine, Ivanishvili stressed that spending his pecuniary and non-pecuniary resources for the common good brought him great happiness.
"If we look at the results, we will see that my involvement in politics enabled us to stand up to an oppressive regime and peacefully topple it. By doing so, we managed to lay a solid foundation for the irreversible, peaceful, and democratic development of our country. Consequently, I assume that this is the greatest deed I have done in my life," Ivanishvili declared.
