The Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia will present a report on the state of emergency to the Parliament.

According to the government administration, Gakharia will go to the legislature with the Interagency Coordinating Council members.

The plenary session will begin at 12:00 p.m.

The opposition will attend today's plenary session as well.

Due to the new coronavirus, a state of emergency got declared in Georgia on March 21. Also, a curfew has been in effect since March 31. The deadline for lifting the state of emergency was initially set for April 21, but this deadline later extended to May 22.

The state of emergency in Georgia and the curfew lifted since May 23, although various restrictions remain until July 15.

As explained by the government administration, although the maximum deadline for restrictions is July 15, it is possible that some of them, including the limitation of public transport, will get removed earlier.
