The Czech swimmer set a new record for swimming under the ice. David Wenzel swam 80.9 meters in frozen water.

It only took him one minute and 35 seconds. According to the rules, he covered this distance without a special diving suit and swim fins. The thickness of the ice, according to the rules, was 30 centimeters.

The record for swimming under frozen water belonged to Danish athlete Stig Severinsen who swam 72.2 meters in icy water in 2013, without a protective suit and swim fins.
