At the annual traditional award ceremony (GFF AWARDS 2020), the Georgian Football Federation named the author of the best goal of the 2020 season.
An open poll selected the best Georgian goal of the current year. Most of the fans' votes were directed towards the goal of the Georgian national team and "Lanchkhuti" striker, Khatia Chkonia, who scored the Romanian CFR Cluj in the UEFA Champions League.
The nominees for the best Georgian goal of 2020 were the players who scored goals in the National League, the Georgian national team, the futsal team, the women's football club, the European Cups, as well as the amateur championships. Nine other nominees were in the category with Khatia Chkonia.
