Toronto Maple Leafs player, four-time Stanley Cup winner George Armstrong has died at the age of 90; the press service of the Hockey Club spreads the information about his death.

"We extend our condolences to George's wife Betty, their children, grandchildren, and the entire Armstrong family," the statement said.

George Armstrong was a Toronto Maple Leafs striker from 1946-1971 and captained the team for 13 seasons. He played 1 188 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season, scoring 713 points.

With the team, Armstrong won the NHL Playoffs four times (1962-1964, 1967). In 1975, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
