On January 11-13, the first major international judo tournament in 2021 - Doha Masters will occur.

The Georgian national judo team has left for the capital of Qatar today.

Under the tournament regulations, 36 best judokas of the IJF (International Judo Federation) rating can take part in each weight category. In Doha, the Georgian national team includes 13 men and two women.

Men:

(-60 kg) - Luhum Chkhvimiani, Temur Nozadze.

(-66 kg) - Bagrat Niniashvili, Vazha Margvelashvili.

(-73 kg) - Lasha Shavdatuashvili.

(-81 kg) - Luka Maisuradze, Tato Grigalashvili.

(-90 kg) - Lasha Bekauri, Beka Gviniashvili.

(-100 kg) - Varlam Liparteliani.

(+100 kg) - Guram Tushishvili, Gela Zaalishvili, Levan Matiashvili.

Women:

(-52 kg) - Tatiana Levitska-Shukvani.

(-57 kg) - Eteri Liparteliani.

The competition schedule is as follows:

January 11: men - 60, 66 kg, women - 48, 52, 57 kg.

January 12: men - 73, 81 kg, women - 63, 70 kg.

January 13: men - 90, 100, +100 kg, women - 78, +78 kg.

The tournament was not held last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
