The mini-football tournament "Victory Cup" dedicated to the anniversary of the victory in the Patriotic War of Azerbaijan in Georgia has ended.

In the final match held at the Kizilhajili sports complex in the village of Marneuli, the amateur teams of the Azerbaijani Businessmen's Union (AZEBI) and the Georgian representation of Azersun Holding DAPNA met.

The game ended 1: 0 in favor of AZEBI.

Teams from the embassies of Azerbaijan and Turkey in Georgia and companies from these countries participated in the tournament, which started on October 23. AZEBI organized the mini football tournament.

The winners of the "Victory Cup" were awarded medals. The award ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev, the Ambassador of Turkey Fatma Ceren Yazgan, the Chairperson of the Board of AZEBI Nariman Gurbanov, and the Mayor of Marneuli Kanan Omarov.

The Chairperson of the Board of AZEBI thanked the teams participating in the tournament and stressed that the "Victory Cup" was a meeting of friendship, brotherhood, and unity.

Ambassador Faig Guliyev also congratulated the Azerbaijanis on Victory Day.

"Azerbaijan has always been a peaceful country. We fought for peace and justice in the 44-day Civil War. We bow to the souls of our heroes, who brought a glorious victory to the Azerbaijani people," Faig Guliyev said.
