According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia, Minister Tea Tsulukiani continues meeting with sports federations together with Deputy Soso Giorgadze.
The main issue to be discussed at the meeting with the President of the Ski Federation, Zurab Kostava, and other leaders of the Federation was the 2023 World Championship to be held in Bakuriani.
It was noted at the meeting that the World Cup in Bakuriani will help us develop winter sports and be an additional source of income for the country. At the same time, it will increase the level of awareness of Bakuriani, which will help increase the flow of tourists in the coming years, as well as create new opportunities for hosting various international tournaments.
According to the Minister, in parallel with the preparations for the World Cup in Bakuriani, it is also important to properly train our athletes for them to compete with dignity.
The President of the Federation thanked the Minister and the Deputy Minister for support of the state structures in the process of preparation. He noted that in 2023, Georgia would be able to hold the World Cup, which will receive the highest marks from the International Federation and the guests in Bakuriani, both in terms of sports and organization.
