Members of the Georgian national wrestling team have returned from the European Championship held in Moscow.
Patriarch's Chokhosnebi welcomed the Georgian wrestlers at the Tbilisi International Airport.
Georgian national boys' team is the winner of the European Team Championship. Giorgi Asanidze's team won eight gold, four silver, and one bronze medal at the European Championship in Moscow.
Lasha Talakhadze won the European Championship for the fifth time. He did it by setting new records. He improved his last record 220 kg and now increased it to 222 kg. In total, he reached 485 kilograms, which is also a world record.
As for the other members of the team, Anton Plesnoi (96 kg) won gold medals; Rezi Davitadze (89 kg) won gold and silver medals; Shota Mishvelidze (61 kg) won silver medals, while Goga Chkheidze (67 kg) won bronze.
In addition, at the women's competition, Anastasia Gotfrid won a gold medal in the 87 kg weight category.
