The winners of the online chess tournament Silk Road Cup is Rauf Mammadov, an Azerbaijani chess player. Baadur Jobava, the leader of the Georgian national team, took the second place. Jobava scored 11 points out of 150 and was only half a point behind the winner Mamedov. Nijat Abasov from Azerbaijan took third place with 10.5 points.

Nana Dzagnidze, the ex-champion of the world in fast chess, recorded the best result among women. She got 8 points out of 15.

Meri Arabidze, the multiple winners of the Georgian Grand Prix in fast chess, took the second place. There was a prize fund of 20,000 euros for the competition divided among 36 prize places.

The Silk Road Cup in fast chess was dedicated to the days of Georgia and Azerbaijan's declaration of independence. The general sponsor of the event was SOCAR.

The tournament started on May 26, Georgia's Independence Day, and ended on May 28, the Republic Day of Azerbaijan. Members of the national teams of Georgia and Azerbaijan took part in the competition.
